+12V - LOCATE
GROUND - BLK/WHT
FAST - LT-GRN
MUX - LT-BLU

Special Rain Tracker Installation Notes for this vehicle:

Use the instructions included in the Rain Tracker kit until you get to step 5a. "Make the interface
connections." At that point, use these instrctions along with the diagram that can be printed above.
Return to the general instructions when the interface connections has been completed.

Some models and years may vary slightly in wire colors. Confirm wire colors with service
guide, and/or with with a multimeter.

All wiper system wires, except +12V, are available at the wiper switch. They
can usually be accessed by removing one or two access panels (Kick Panels) and,
possibly, the shrouds surrounding the steering column.

FIND +12V
For Rain Tracker power (+12V), locate a source of power hot in accessory
or run. Power source should be min. 12-16ga. wire on a 15-25A circuit. This
can be one of the +12V sources as shown on the diagram, or some other accessory
source. The cigarette lighter is often a good +12V source.

ALTERNATE INSTALLATION
If you use the 680 ohm resistor and the Rain Tracker does not operate correctly, install a 330 ohm resistor in place of the 680 ohm.

WIRE CONNECTIONS
Cadillac XLR: GND - BLK

Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Avalanche, Chevy Suburban, GMC Acadia, GMC Yukon, GMC Sierra and Saturn Outlook: GND - TAN/BLK

Chevy Silverado - 2014, may also be prior years: GND - BLK/GRY, FAST - GRY, MUX - YEL/BLU

Cadillac CTS - There are 2 TAN/BLK wires on the wiring diagram. One is Ground and the other is MUX. Check for proper wire function with a meter before installation.

COMPATIBILITY
With some vehicles, e.g. Chevy Suburban and Impala and Cadillac CTS, we have seen the diagram for the beginning years with this wiper system, e.g. 2007, and the ending years, e.g. 2013, but not the years in between. We assume, since there were no major design changes during those years that the wiper system is the same. Check for this with a service manual or testing the wires.

The RT-40A does not utilize the FAST windings of the wiper motor. Please disregard any references
to FAST that appear in these instructions.
